A World View

February 27th, 2008 § 1

The motivation for starting this publishing company was to try to provide an outlet not only for my writing but for others who have an interest in international issues. The world is inexorably linked in spite of what many people think. Global warming is one well documented example. Populations in poorer areas of the world affect the more affluent countries. Strategies must be implemented to control diseases in poorer countries in order for them to raise themselves out of poverty.

Many infectious diseases which are more common in poorer countries are only a plane ride away from more affluent countries. Disease constraints in poorer countries must be addressed to advance international wealth and avoid radicalization in countries with less resources. All of these issues must be addressed from a cosmopolitan perspective. No longer can we be ignorant to the cultures of the rest of the world. No longer can we ignore the plight of others. Our destinies are inexorably bound.
